I completed a Masters of Divinity with a Marriage & Family Studies concentration in 1988 at Fuller Theological Seminary.
I completed 3000 supervised therapy hours and was licensed as a California Marriage & Family Therapist in 1991.
I began my University Teaching career while working on my doctorate in Marriage & Family Studies at Fuller’s School of Psychology. I graduated with my doctoral degree in 2002.
My doctoral dissertation explored how women frequently make decisions regarding their work and family roles from a care perspective. They often take everyone’s needs into account except their own, with subsequent effects on their psychological and physical well-being. I interviewed women from conservative and progressive Christian backgrounds.
